I’m Beth Oslander, owner and lead event filmmaker at Bella Films. It’s hard to believe that this last June 2011, marks 17 years of my involvement in the event and wedding industry! Some members of the Bella team have been around even longer. The time has gone by fast but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I consider myself truly blessed to be part of an industry that celebrates the beauty of love during life’s most important milestones.

Our name in Italian means “beautiful” and just as it implies, we deeply believe that we’ve been granted a special honor to document thousands of beautiful moments at every event. We film brides and grooms tenderly exchanging their vows, Jewish boys and girls proudly coming of age, families uniting, couples smiling during their 50 year anniversaries, fathers shedding tears of joy as they give their daughters and sons away, friends hugging and kissing, small children laughing and peeking behind pews, celebrities performing, and most guests dancing with abandonment! It’s beautifully overwhelming!

From the start, we have always been a unique production company that focuses more on the genuine feel of day and the meaningful moments that naturally tell a story. When many companies were using music to override the natural ambient sound of the day, we were known for making sure to include important sound bites by blending and fading the music up and down when needed. Our style has always stood out as a unique combination of classy and edgy, with a touch of vintage artistry. And as the industry continues to evolve from “videography” to “event filmmaking” we are on board with the recent visionary changes. I like the direction it’s taking because we are now provided the (dslr) equipment and tools that enable us to shoot and edit events with true cinematic quality.
